What a strange mix: take the tension of post-punk, add the energy of its guitars and its chanted lyrics, and mix it all with Italian commercial music, the singing side of its language and its propensity for strong emotions… you get Ada Oda, the new sensation of the Belgian scene and result of the meeting between César Laloux (BRNS, Italian Boyfriend, The Tellers) and Victoria Barracato, daughter of Sicilians, a singer who seems to have done it all her life, although those are her very first musical steps. An improbable and audacious marriage, seen in particular as the opening act for Wet Leg. Or when the rainy England of Dry Cleaning meets the Roman dolce vita.
