He’s got the physique of a rugby player and the elegance of a 1930s Mafioso. His hair is slicked back with Brylcreem in a rockers-style and he wears a moustache à la Lee Hazlewood. Clearly, these clues are there to push you off the scent. As a music-lover with an encyclopaedic knowledge for all things culture, he’s been hard at it for more than two decades under various aliases, deftly kneading electronic music in all its forms. Last year he was crowned in glory with his soundtrack for the wonderful French film “120 bpm”. When up on stage, the immense (in terms of height and talent) Arnaud Rebotini is truly in his element, juggling analogue synths and relentless beats, transforming the crowd into a harmonious wave of dancers.
