Biography

France — French song

His debut album ‘Rose Kennedy’ – carried (away) by the soft melancholy of ‘Les Cerfs-Volants’ – is now celebrating its twentieth birthday. A reminder that time really does fly, and that since then, Benjamin has become the elder statesman of a French scene whose eclecticism he so wonderfully illustrates. Within a plentiful discography, this man of many talents (he has also excelled as an actor) has remained open to everything and cross-breeds his songs with hip-hop, electro, rock and tango. With his plethora of hits and collaborations (making him a veritable Pygmalion) and his songs describing a not-always-rosy view on life better than anyone, this basketball and football fan from Lyon has once again upped the ante with the perfectly titled ‘Grand Prix’, which has put him in pole position when it comes to songs you can hum anytime, anywhere.
