HOLY MOTORS

Sunday 30 June / / GRANDE SCÈNE

ESTONIA / ROCK

With all these countries, you could certainly lose your bearings… Hailing from Estonia, these four guys and one gal go by a very British sounding band name – which could also be an homage to the French film by Leos Carax. The five piece (including three guitarists) play music which owes a lot to the American west, creating cosy songs which beg you to wander aimlessly and daydream. Since releasing two singles and an album, they’ve caught the media’s attention with their psychedelic references and bursts of shoegaze. Holy Motors give a pretty wonderful idea as to what Ennio Morricone’s Twin Peaks soundtrack could have been.
