At only the palindrome age of 22, she already demonstrates the determination of those who are not there by chance. Daughter of painter and performer Olivier de Sagazan, who “instilled in her the notion that art doesn’t fall from the sky”, she fetches and embellishes deep words with a deep voice. In perfect balance between French tradition – Brel, Barbara, Aznavour, like so many godfathers – and English-speaking music – mostly new-wave and electro -, she sculpts songs in chiaroscuro with dizzying curves. Already acclaimed by Mansfield TYA, Hervé and Juliette Armanet, who opened for her, Zaho is aiming high – at hearts in particular.
